Melba J Montgomery

Born August 7, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to Melvin and Ileen (Dotson) Monroe, she married Gerald Keith Montgomery Sr. on May 11, 1962 in Pekin. He died April 26, 2005 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Tumility

Surviving are one son, Gerald (Robin) Montgomery Jr. of Pekin; one daughter, Kathy (Edwin) Blas of Everett, Washington; five grandchildren, Edwin , Jeffrey, Anthony and Natasha Blas of Everett, Washington, Justin Montgomery of Pekin; four sisters, Lorretta (Robert) Stymiest of South Dakota, Julia Breen of Pekin, Sanora Monroe of Morton, Marilyn (Robert) Stallwitz of Pekin; one brother, Larry (Janet) Monroe of South Pekin.

Melba was a member of the South Pekin Congregational Church.

Private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
