Melvin Leroy Bollinger

Born on May 14, 1955 in York County, Pennsylvania to Earl Glenn and Mary Christina (Whipperman) Bollinger, he married Dianna L. Goldsby. She died January 21, 2011 in East Peoria. He also was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Brandy Boyette of Florida; one son, Taylor Bollinger of Florida; several grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Sue) Bollinger of Mackinaw and Robert Bollinger of Pekin; two sisters, Darlene (Dennis) Murphy of Kewanee and Dorothy (Thomas) Baker of Pekin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Melvin retired from Pekin Hardwood after many years. He also had worked at American Distilling Company.

He loved to fish.

His graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. There will be no visitation.
