Born August 17, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harvey and Jane "Pat" (Paff) Learn, he married Laura Green on May 15, 1982 in Peoria.
Surviving are two sons, Nicholas H. Learn of Peoria and Gregory J. (Heather) McFadin of Morton; two grandchildren, Samantha McFad`in and Avery McFadin, both of Morton; and one sister, Andrea (Tom) Luther of Leesburg, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Michael had worked as a paralegal and private investigator for many years.
He loved fishing and horse races.
Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 1 to 3 p.m., on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Avanti's Restaurant in East Peoria.
