

He was born on October 21, 1979, at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI a son of Michael J. and Sherry (Snyder) Legenos. Michael married Elizabeth Hay on October 5, 2025, in Peoria. She survives.
Michael is also survived by his mother; Sherry (Robert) Marsden of Placerville, CA, father; Michael J. Legenos of Port Charlotte, FL, 3 sisters; Megan (Craig) Knapp of Norton, KS, Meredith (Tyler) Renaghan of Winnetka and Kay (Lucas) Chapman of Half Moon Bay, CA, 2 brothers, Ian (Cassandra) Marsden of Santa Clara, CA and William Marsden of Palo Alto, CA, maternal grandparents; Robert G. (Julie J.) Snyder of Chillicothe, paternal grandmother; Julie Legenos of Shelton, CT, Favorite Auntie Deb (Michael) Damore of South Burlington,Vermont, 3 uncles; Martin (Linda) Legenos, Wallkill, New York, Mark Legenos, Madison, CT, and Jeff (Cindy) Legenos, East Berlin, PA, mother-in-law; Linda Hay of Pekin, brother-in-law; Doug (Mary) Hay of Pekin, Michael found the greatest joy in being the proudest uncle to Isabella, Charlotte, Conlyn, Odin, Axel, Oakes, Harris, Sebastian, Frances, Charles, Louise, Jack, Harper Lee, Dillion, Lauryn, Evan, Madison, and numerous cousins.
He last worked for Visiting Angels in home health care. Michael previously worked for AT&T in California for several years as a Tech / Installer, Best Buy Magnolia in Audio Visual and Snyder Village in Metamora.
Michael was an avid fan of the Oakland A’s, Chicago Bears, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks. He enjoyed fishing, glamping, surfing in California, world history, military history, and equipment. Michael loved volunteering with the Fulton County Humane Society and being a foster pet dad. He had a contagious personality that infected anyone who had the privilege to meet him. His smile lit up any room that he entered. Michael will be greatly missed by all that met him. He was of the Methodist Faith.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
