He was born April 28, 1967 in Peoria to Billy Ray and Mable Kathleen (Christopher) McClanahan.
Surviving are his parents of Marquette Heights; one daughter, Savannah (Paul) Watkins of Marquette Heights; four brothers, Ed (Sarah) McClanahan of Peoria, Harold (Nancy) McClanahan of Marquette Heights, Rick (Kris) McClanahan of Pekin, and Ronnie McClanahan of Marquette Heights; two sisters, Sue McClanahan of Pekin, Arlene (Dan) Foster of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was a forklift operator for many years. He enjoyed racing BMX in his youth, and spending time outdoors and fishing in his free time.
A gathering celebrating Michael’s life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Pekin Eagles Lodge, 274 Derby Street in Pekin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
