Mildred "Millie" M Stone

She was born August 18, 1940 in Pekin to Walter Delbert, Sr. and Mary Lucina (Tyler) Stone. Her parents preceded her in death along with two brothers, Thomas Stone and Walter Stone, Jr.; one infant brother; and one infant sister.

Surviving are one sister, Sherrille Elliott of Pekin; one niece; and two nephews.

Millie last worked as a CNA at TCRC’s Miller Home for Children in Pekin for several years. Previously, she worked at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin for 10 years, G & K Industrial Laundry in Peoria for 9 years, and Corn Products Company in Pekin for 17 years.

She was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in South Pekin, George Maple Memorial AMVETS Post #235 Auxiliary in Pekin, AARP, and Tazewell County Farm Bureau. Millie was a big St. Louis Cardinal’s fan.

Her visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A graveside service will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. Dowice Ashley will officiate.
