Misty affectionately nicknames “Misfit” was strong willed and fought her illness with optimism, grace, and amazing strength to the very end. Lovingly remembered for her beautiful infectious smile, unwavering loyalty to her family and friends, and her dressy style, Misty touched the lives of all who truly knew her. Misty had a deep love of all things Mickey Mouse, and loved visiting Disney Land and other landmarks while making wonderful memories with Maria. She hated saying the word goodbye, even to end a conversation and would instead say “Love you Latter’s”; so, while we may be parted for now, we know this is not the end, we love you, and we will see you latter’s.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
