

Born January 26, 1937 in West Frankfort to Charles and Helen Gertrude (Lipscomb) Minton, she married Floyd Eugene Cunningham on July 18, 1953 in West Frankfort. He died on January 2, 1996 in West Frankfort. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Minton and Virgil Minton; four sisters, Nellie Brannan, Betty Reed, Ruby Logsdon and Virginia Minton and one stepsister, Joan Melvin.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Ann (Chuck) Burson of Pekin; two sons, Floyd (Erin) Cunningham of Mackinaw and Mark (Dae Lynn) Cunningham of Bartonville; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one brother, Bill (Marcella) Minton of Lake of Egypt.
Nancy formerly worked in central supply at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria during the 1970s.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marquette Heights. She was a member and past chairperson of the hospitality committee at her church. Nancy was also faithful with her card ministry, sending cards for all occasions. She loved roses and loved embroidering.
A devoted wife, Nancy was the definition of true love for her husband. She enjoyed hosting family dinners and will be remembered as the sweetest, kindest mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Some of her favorite times were spent with her family and extended family in Southern Illinois.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chris Bigger will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
