

PEKIN ~ Nancy Sue King, 73, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away at 11:38 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital, where she was hospitalized following an automobile accident. She was formerly of Pekin.
Born June 9, 1946 in Quincy to Herman and Helen (Weed) Schilling, she married William Henry King on July 3, 1976 in Enterprise, Alabama. He died January 24, 2016 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Schilling.
Surviving are two stepsons, Scott (Lisa) King of Germantown, Ohio and Kelly King of Mississippi and four grandchildren, Michaela, Jessica, Beau and Riley.
A graduate of Pekin Community High School, Nancy also studied at Bradley University. She owned and operated The Uniform Store in Pekin for more than 20 years and previously worked for Dr. Terry Meridan as his office manager.
Nancy had a great interest in eagles and enjoyed traveling to spot eagles and their nests. She also enjoyed working puzzles and coloring.
Her private graveside service will be Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. Jim Dawson will officiate. There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
