

Born May 23, 1946 in Pekin to Severn L. and Marie Anna (Welch) Smallwood, she married Lester E. “Les” Rosiere on June 4, 1966 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jennifer (Seth) Ostlund of Pekin; one grandson, Kyler Ostlund; one brother, Dan (Vonnie) Smallwood of Danville, Kentucky and a sister-in-law, Marcia Smallwood of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Anna Logan, Cleta Blackstock, Mary Sheets and Lois Hedrick and two brothers, Roger Smallwood and Ray Smallwood.
A 1965 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Nancy went on to complete her nurse’s training at Illinois Central College first as an Licensed Practical Nurse and then as a Registered Nurse. She worked in the nursing profession for 50 years, with 25 years of service with Pekin Hospital and 25 years in home health care.
Nancy enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Greater Pekin Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673, where she was a former Senior Regent.
She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother that was always happy and smiling.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Bishop David Dille will conduct. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
