Nonnie was the aunt who was there and the door was always open.
Nonnie worked in many of Pekin and Kewanee’s nursing homes as a housekeeper. She knew residents by name and came to feel connected with them and their families. She was quick and quirky with banter and imitation. Everyone that tasted her cooking fell in love with it and her.
She loved to camp, fish, garden and play shuffleboard; all hobbies she shared with her late husband Rob. She was also a member of the Eagles Club with Rob and even after his passing she continued to volunteer there to keep busy.
There will be no services at this time. Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
