Nora Radford

Born September 19, 1919 in Dent County, Missouri to John S. and Rosa (Tinker) Canady, she married Cecil Edward Radford on May 7, 1938 in St. Genevieve, Missouri. He died June 27, 1984 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bobby Radford and Ron Radford; five brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Sharon) Radford of Webster, FL and Steve (Linda) Radford of Pekin; one daughter, Alta (Jack) Hutchison of La Harpe; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bert Canady of Portland, Texas and one sister, Opal (George) Hill of Pekin.

Nora was a faithful member of Agape Christian Fellowship in La Harpe and the Ladies of the Hunting Club in Pekin.

Nora enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family. Nora was fond of children and formerly had worked in the nursery at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Agape Christian Fellowship in La Harpe, where a visitation will be held one hour before the funeral. Rev. Mike Hrabal will officiate. Further visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with graveside rites following in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
