Noreen Crawford

Born July 14, 1931 in Saline County to Oscar and Nora Otterson, she married Thomas Crawford on February 8, 1950 in Benton. He died January 22, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald Crawford and Mark Crawford; five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are one son, Larry (Gloria) Crawford of Pekin; two grandsons, Jason (Shannon) Crawford of Pekin and Jesse (Michelle) Crawford of Morton; six great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Lillian and Alexandria, all of Pekin and Cameron, Finley and Grayson, all of Morton; her sister-in-law, Letha Rich of Benton; her family friend and caregiver, Janice Peterson and long time friend and housekeeper, Patty Boyd.

Noreen worked as a cost analyst at Pekin Energy for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

She loved playing the piano and singing at nursing homes. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and was known for her rolls.

Noreen was a member of North Parkway Assembly of God in Pekin, where she taught Sunday School. She also attended Mapleton Church. She was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Danny Wood will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
