

Born August 22, 1962 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Larry and Joyce (Bandy) Pritchett, she married Mike Howard in 1980. They later divorced.
Surviving are two children, Tara (Cory) McKown of East Peoria and Michael Howard of Pekin; two grandchildren, Quinton McKown and Avery McKown, both of East Peoria; three siblings, Cindy Brandt and Jackie (Tim) VonBoeckman, both of Pekin and Roger Pritchett of Marion, IL and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pamela had worked as an assistant manager at Peoria Plasma Center.
She was a giver and found joy in helping others. In her younger years she enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and was part of a bowling league, and spending time with her two sisters and their close group of friends. Family was the most important thing to her and the only thing she loved more than being a mother, was being a grandmother. She dedicated her life to her two children and her grandchildren. She also had two dogs, Cyrus and Sassy, who she adored and they were always by her side.
She was affiliated with Rock Church in East Peoria.
A gathering celebrating Pamela’s life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Coffee Connection in downtown Pekin. The family would like to invite everyone who wishes to pay their respects.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be given to Quinton and Avery McKown to assist with their futures on her behalf so she can continue to be the there for them in her eternal life. A memorial fund has been set up through First Pekin Savings, 530 Court Street, Pekin, IL. 61554.
