I am so very sorry to see this obituary. My husband and I were neighbors of Pat and Alan's for 20 years. Pat was so very beautiful of heart and soul. Always her plates of her delicious carmels at Christmas and a smile and kind words when we would see each other.

My heartfelt condolences to Alan and her family. Your lives are forever changed without Pat and that is so very hard to bear.

Pat was my first new hire when I began managing the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in West Peoria back in the late 80's. We knew what we needed, and actively recruited her for the position. She was the perfect fit. Patients instantly looked to her as a trusted professional, who always had their best interest in mind. Every time she was given a new responsibility, she exceeded my expectations with her results. She had a strong love for her family, and it showed - just view the photos she is in, and you can see it in her eyes.. She also had a way of controlling Alan with "the look" or just a few words. He easily became putty in her hands. She was just That Good!

We were First Cousins - both only children.
Our childhoods were tightly intermingled growing up in Pekin.
She was my Big Sister I was the Little Sister
My Mom - her Aunt Mary - loved & cared for her as a daughter.
As adults we were no longer together physically but we were "connected." I new she was "there" for me and I for her.
I respected her for being a into a remarkable wife, mom, grandma and one of the sweetest, kindest ladies I knew.
I can see by the condolences that she was greatly Loved.

I have a feeling her and Mom are sitting up there in heaven at some cozy table having a warm cup of coffee / tea and talking about all of us with love.

How lucky I was to get to know Pat and her wonderful family. She was a kind and gracious lady and always so genuine. Family meant the world to her and she was so proud of hers. She was always so sweet and welcoming whenever Mark and I were visiting and she was like a second mother to Mark who roomed with Tyson (who inherited her sense of kindness as well as his dad's gift of never knowing a stranger!) in college. Now Tyson and Pat are watching over all of you with love and pride. Love to the entire Johnson family.
