Patricia Kay Troyer

Born June 3, 1951, in Pekin to William and Margarite (Meisinger) Shepperd. She married Douglas Troyer (Doug) on May 31, 1975, in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are one brother, Bob (Lauri) Shepherd of Pekin and one sister, Judy Klecker of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Shepperd and one sister, Carolyn DeBoer.

Pat attended Edison Junior High School in Pekin, and graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1969. She also attended Illinois Central College.

She worked for several local businesses throughout the years, including Pekin Daily Times, Colossus Development, and the Pekin Housing Authority. In 1995, she went to work for NHS Property Management in Peoria, retiring in 2021.

Pat loved to travel with her husband, going to different cities to bike and experience baseball parks in those different cities.She also enjoyed the U of I football games and "tailgates." She

enjoyed TV Cubs games, gardening, yardwork, shopping and collecting Christmas "keepsakes."

There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
