Patricia L Witt

Born September 9, 1952 in Pekin to Hiram and Mary Moore, she married Daniel Witt on April 30, 1999 in Peoria.  He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Dawn Mettam of Peoria; one granddaughter, Elizabeth (Joshua) Phillips of Marquette Heights; one grandson, Andrew Martin of Peoria and one great-granddaughter, Macie Morey of Marquette Heights.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Denny Moore.

Pat had worked as a food and reset broker for 35 years.

She was a member of the River Valley Drifters Car Club, Illinois Valley Antique Automobile Club and Midwest Cruisers Car Club, all in Peoria.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Pat enjoyed sitting on her front porch, going to cruise-ins and car shows and gardening for which she was the recipient of the Peoria Iris Award in 2004.  She also loved taking care of her beloved dog "Baby Witt".

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria.
