Patrick T Kemp

MORTON ~ Patrick "Pat" Townsend Kemp, 53, of 113 Mulberry Drive, passed away at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday, November  9, 2011 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  He passed from this life into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ.

Born April 30, 1958 in Victoria, TX, he was the youngest of seven children born to Howard and Audrey (Townsend) Kemp.  He married Pam Learned on June 25, 1994 at San Antonio, TX.  She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Emily Kemp, Andrew Kemp and Brandon Kemp, all at home; three sisters, Audrey Lynne Kemp, Judy Kemp (Ruben) Garcia and Paula Bernice Kemp, all of San Antonio; one brother, John Howard (Stella) Kemp of San Antonio, TX; three nephews, Jared Garcia, John Andrew Kemp and Joshua Neil Kemp and two nieces, Lisa Garcia Scalf and Anna Garcia Hiller.  Through his wife’s family, Pat also had ten additional nieces and nephews who always found Pat creating fun and fond memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kerwin Roy Kemp and one sister, Karen Ann Kemp.

He was a 1976 graduate of Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX.

Pat was a computer network technician and a voice over artist.  He also was the general manager of the Morton Cinemas at the time of his death.

Pat will be remembered as a true gentleman who was kindhearted and was always ready with a helping hand.  He was devoted to his children and will be greatly missed.

He was a member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church in San Antonio and attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.

His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.  The Rev. Bob Donaldson will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
