Patsy E Shepherd

Born January 10, 1936 in rural Pekin to Peter and Mabel (Wineburner) Grubb, she married William R. Shepherd on June 28, 1963in Pekin.

Surviving are her son, Scott R. Shepherd of Pekin; two sisters, Nina Hughes of East Peoria and Helen (Robert) Strode of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ila June Grubb and Lela Niesman.

Patsy worked for many years at Clifton-Strode Insurance & Real Estate in Pekin, last working in January. She previously had worked for Farmers Auto and for Caterpillar, Inc. She and her husband, along with their son, Scott, also owned and operated Pekin Video Services for nearly 10 years.

She enjoyed bowling, dancing and especially traveling to Florida. Patsy was very proud of her son and loved to follow his interests and activities.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Mark D. Friday will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
