PEKIN ~ Paul L. McCree, 76, of 310 Washington Street, Apartment 6, passed away at 9:52 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 at his home. He was formerly of Glasford.Born May 31, 1931 in Williamson County to Herman and Faye (Chamness) McCree, he married Norma Gilbert on June 2, 1951 in DeSoto. She died November 29, 2001 in Pekin. He later married Patricia Watters on July 6, 2006 in Peoria. She survives.Also surviving are two sons, James McCree of Pekin and Bruce (Patricia) McCree of Creve Coeur; one step-daughter, Lynn (Byron) Terry of Pekin; one step-son, Todd Rauthenberg of Peoria; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; and one sister, Kathleen (James) Russell of Moreno Valley, California.He was also preceded in death by his parents.Paul worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years, retiring in 1995 from the foundry.He attended First Baptist Church in Marquette Heights.Paul enjoyed collecting die-cast model cars and working outdoors in his yard.His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday,March 25, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
