Born June 29, 1946 in Germany to Henry and Elizabeth Scholl, he married Peggy Mathiason in 1973. They later divorced. He married Marla J. Greeley on January 27, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died on March 26, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are one son, Mark Scholl of East Peoria and a dear friend, Donna (John) Zimmerman of Pekin.
Paul is a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked as an engineer for 39 years at Chicago Northwestern, which later became Union Pacific, until his retirement in 2009.
Paul took pride in his home and it, along with his yard, was always in immaculate condition. He enjoyed yardwork and fishing.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are planned at this time.
