Paulina Ann McKeown

Paulina A. McKeown, 83, of Pekin, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on September 16, 1937 in Mt. Sterling to Arthur L. and Mary C. (Ashbaker) Parker. She married John R. McKeown on April 7, 1956 in Mt. Sterling. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2002 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard and Tom Parker; son-in-law, Sam Dantone, and niece, Lisa Stuber. Paulina is survived by her four children, Janelle Dantone, Mark (Tracy) McKeown, James (Debbie) McKeown, and Michael McKeown, all of Pekin; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Gary) Quincy of Mt. Sterling; two sister-in-laws, Jutta Parker of Mississippi and Janet Parker of Mt. Sterling; and several nieces and nephews. Paulina owned and operated a childcare business for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Paulina’s celebration of life service will be at a later date. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home is handling cremation services. To Paulina’s family. So sorry to hear of the passing of such a great lady. I always enjoyed visiting with Paulina at the Parker reunions and hearing about the stories about her younger days and especially about her family. Rest in Peace in Heaven and God Bless her family

Paulina watched my daughter Melissa from 1984 thru 1987. She was so caring and patient . She will be missed.
