Peggy S Harris

Born April 20, 1941 to Carl C. and Edna May (Riley) Hill, she married Robert E. Harris on August 14, 1965 at Mattoon.  He died November 1, 1997 in Pekin. 

Surviving are two sons, Edward M. “Eddie” (Audra) Harris of Forest City and Chester L. “Chet” Harris of Pekin; five grandchildren, Brody Hoyle, Bree Harris, Courtney Harris, Bryce Harris and Brittney Harris; one great-grandson, Aries Hornback; one sister, Bonnie Rowe of Phoenix, AZ; one half-sister, Dianna Okabayashi of Phoenix, AZ and one half-brother, Allen Okabayashi, of Phoenix, AZ.

Peggy had worked as a beautician and waitress.  She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards.  She was fond of her animals, especially Ginger.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
