Peggy M Pfeiffer

Born May 7, 1929 in Easton to Thomas and Ruby (Waterworth) Blessman, she married Jack Dale Pfeiffer on June 26, 1948 in Easton. He died March 15, 2008 in South Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one great-granddaughter; one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are four daughters, Diana (Rick) Thurman of Seminole, Florida, Vickie Pfeiffer, Connie (Don) Colson, both of rural Pekin and Jackie (Jim) Pociask of Sarasota, Florida; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Dena Tracey of Pekin and Joanne Deweese of Arkansas.

Peggy owned and operated Pfeiffer Auction Service in South Pekin with her husband for more than 33 years. She previously had worked as a secretary for the South Pekin Grade School for 8 years.

Peggy enjoyed gardening and sewing. She also was known for baking wedding cakes.

Her memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. James C. McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Pekin Town Twisters.
