PEKIN ~ Penney Marie Howard, 19, of 1113 Royal Avenue, passed away at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the scene of an automobile accident in rural Peoria County. She was born September 1, 1987 in Pekin to Ronald D. and Elaine (King) Howard. Surviving are her parents of Pekin; grandparents, Estal and Wilma Howard of Pekin; one sister, Keri Howard of Pekin; and her fiancé, Terry Beecham of Glasford.She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents.Penney worked for Bergner's in Pekin and as an intern at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria. A mid-term 2006 graduate of Pekin Community High School, she enjoyed playing softball. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Steven Hauter will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
