

Born August 17, 1941 in Moline, she was the daughter of Leon Roy and Edris Aleene (Nelson) LaDage. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas L. LaDage.
Surviving are one brother, William (Sharon) LaDage of Pekin; two nephews, Todd (Darla) LaDage of Pekin and Tim LaDage of St. Louis, Missouri and five great nieces and nephews, Emma, Riley, Carson, Dylon, Will and Addie.
She had earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Iowa and later a Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Prebble retired in 2005 after a long career with the Veterans' Administration, beginning in Occupational Therapy and concluding in administration. Her work took her to both Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oregon, where she brought professionalism, care, and purpose to her responsibilities.
Prebble embraced and loved the outdoors with remarkable energy and vitality. She was passionate about biking, hiking, and skiing, and her love of the outdoors took her across long distances, biking across Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington state, and Virginia. She also loved to travel and visited many countries. Active well into her 80's, she last tent camped in the country of Columbia at age 80, a fitting reflection of her independent spirit and deep appreciation for travel.
Private family services will be held with inurnment at Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
