

PEKIN ~ Quinton Chism, age 77, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 16, 1946, Quinton lived a life full of love, dedication, and faith.
On August 31, 1968, Quinton married the love of his life, Patricia Chism, in Pekin. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Julie (Jason) Fontana and Joanna (Brian) Carroll, both of Pekin. Quinton’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: JoAnna (Julia) DeLong, Abigail (Luke) Stoner, Justin Fontana, and Brody Carroll.
Quinton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, and his parents, Wilburn and Virda Chism. He leaves behind his twin brother, Linton (Roberta) Chism, and two younger brothers, Dean (Ronda) Chism and Buddy Chism.
Family was Quinton's greatest joy, and he adored them with all his heart. His love for his daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren was boundless, and he devoted himself to their happiness and well-being. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and landscaping.
Quinton was a lifelong member of the Pekin Church of Christ.
His private graveside service will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Evangelist Paul Thomas will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses.
