He was born April 29, 1944 in Canton to Veldie and Lila Lee (Birchfield) Harris.
Surviving are two children, Ralph (Jennifer) Harris, Jr. of Fort Polk, LA and Cindy Hefley of Davis, OK.
He had served in the United States Air Force from May 25, 1962 to July 7, 1967.
Ralph worked at the Pekin Walmart since 2006, last working in receiving.
His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Military rites will be conducted by the Inter-veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the United States Air Force. There will be no visitation.
