

He was born on August 12, 1954, in Canton, a son of Vernon and Patricia (Welch) Brunkow. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, John Bordner.
Surviving are three brothers, John Arnold Brunkow of Galesburg, Richard (Melinda) Brunkow of Galesburg, and Michael Brunkow of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; three sisters, Julie Bordner of Pekin, Susan (Gearold) Heffren of Pekin, and Karen Doubet of Trivoli; and several nieces and nephews.
Randall loved sports and especially rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed listening to the Beetles.
He attended Costa High School and Galesburg Senior High from 1968 to 1972. After high school he attended Christian Brothers College in Memphis, TN where he majored in U.S. History and minored in Government graduating in 1976 with Cum Laude Honors. Randall later attended Murray State University in Murray, KY where he studied European History. He then graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN with a master’s in education administration in 1993.
Randall worked for HGS in Peoria for 17 years. He previously was the principal of Costa Catholic School in Galesburg from 1994 to 1999 and was the principal of Visitation School in Kewanee from 1991 to 1994.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
