He was born December 14, 1956 in Bloomington to Lawrence and Evelyn (Hinthorn) Burden, he married Debra Harms on December 10, 2017 in Creve Coeur. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Nicholas Burden, Kimberly Gibbs, both of Pekin, and Jesse Burden of Tennessee; five step-children; five grandchildren, Clayton Gibbs, Aubreigh Gibbs, Cameron Gibbs, Brynn Gilmore, and Blaize Burden; 11 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Larry Burden of Pekin, Kay Wheat of Havana, Karla Hasler of Stanford, and Harlan Burden of Mackinaw; many cousins, nieces, and nephews and his first wife, Susan of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Rebecca Burden; one step-son, Buck Rogers; one granddaughter, Aaliyah Burden; one sister, Karen Burden and one nephew, Anothony Metzdorff.
Randy was a robotic welder at Case IH in Goodfield before retiring in 2009.
He enjoyed collecting Harley Davidson items and gnomes, fishing, all things food and spending time with his grandchildren while giving them a “hard time.”
A gathering celebrating Randy’s life will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Pekin Moose Lodge 916, 2605 Broadway Street in Pekin.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
