Randy S Houston

Born December 16, 1954 in Pekin to Henry and Francis (Agee) Houston, he married Marcia Hodge on August 15, 1986 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Pekin; one son, Nicholas (Melissa) Roxby of East Peoria; four grandchildren, Maria, Garrett, Colbi and Piper; one brother, Robert (Ann) Houston of Heyworth and one sister, Sherrie (Jim) Allen of Tremont.

Randy was preceded in death by his father.

He had attended River’s Edge Methodist Church in Spring Bay.

Randy had worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 32 years, retiring as a machinist in June, 2005.

He was a member of the UAW Local 974; the Freedom Valley ABATE of Illinois AND THE Sons of American Legion Post 1115 in Spring Bay. He was also involved with No Tears for Christmas, playing Santa Claus.

Randy enjoyed traveling and riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed glass etching, woodworking, gardening and just being outdoors.

A Celebration of Life celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
