

He was born October 11, 1947 in Pekin to Walter Frank “Bud” and Patricia Jean (Crapnell) Robinson.
Surviving are one daughter, Marcia L. (Chris) Franzen of Aurora; two grandchildren, Keaton C. Franzen and Lauren T. Franzen and three brothers, Frank S. Robinson of Peoria, Thomas L. (Julie) Robinson of Mapleton and Terry (Barb) Thorne of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Calvin Gene Thorne.
Randy was retired from Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville, where he worked for more than 30 years as a machine and crane operator. He also was known as the plant prankster.
He loved trains and racing and particularly enjoyed watching stock car racing. Don Bohlander was his favorite racer. He was a former member of the Optimist Club.
His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. No services are planned.
