

He was born on August 21, 1951 in Canton to Leonard and Grace (McKee) Herman.
Surviving are one son, Mark (Samantha) Herman of Lowpoint; one daughter, Tonya (Glen) Cavitt of Alton, Missouri; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ray worked at Caterpillar Inc. for over 20 years.
He enjoyed wood working, making a variety of works including ink pens. He had previously enjoyed bowling and had bowled in a local league. Ray also enjoyed the time he spent at RJ’s Café in South Pekin, the staff and other patrons became like family to Ray and his family would like to thank them for their kindness.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
