Renate C. Wheeler, 84, of Arlington Heights and a long-time resident of Rolling Meadows, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026. She was born January 6, 1942, in Berlin, Germany, and grew up in Vienna, Austria. She loved visiting her childhood home and traveling all over Europe.
Renate was the wife of the late Kenneth Wheeler; mother of Sabine (John) Gutt and Monica (Matt) Phillips; grandmother of Sallie Maria, Peyton and Carissa; and loved by many dear friends.
A private graveside service to take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton. Service arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
