

She was born March 14, 1961 in Fergus Falls, MN to Glen E. and Catherine B. (Trites) Peterson.
Surviving are three brothers, Gary (Kim) Peterson of Battle Lake, MN, Bruce (Anita) Peterson of Sartell, MN, Scott (Jim Fleming) Peterson of San Francisco, CA; one sister, Kathleen (Jim) Nordine of Peoria, AZ; three nieces, Jenna Cavanaugh of Fergus Falls, MN, Carissa Solarz of Sartell, MN, Kelsey Peterson of Fargo, ND; one nephew, Dakota Nordine of Peoria, AZ; three Aunts, Barb (Duane) Koep, Ardelle Deckert, Ella Mae (John) Mattocks and one Uncle, David (Pam) Trites.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one Uncle.
Pastor Kristie's life was devoted to her God, church, family and helping others. She loved singing, playing dartball with the church league, working with kids, crocheting, watching sports and generally being around people. She especially enjoyed coffee at CJ's Café in the mornings. She also loved and will be greatly missed by her companion dog Lena and her two cats, Meeko and Ginger.
Pastor Kristie had received her Masters of Divinity degree from McCormick Seminary in Chicago.
She had been the Minster for First United Presbyterian Church of Pekin since August 1, 2009. Prior to that, she had been the Minister for First Presbyterian Church in Virginia, IL.
Her funeral will be at 7p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin. The Rev. Sue Krummel will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:45p.m. at the church. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Silent Vale Cemetery in Maine, MN.
