I will always remember Bro. Bob. Whether it be eating dinner together, playing music together, his excellent preaching or praying for me. He would
also make feel special. He would introduce me when
I would sing. He would say " And now here is ....
"Chad!" He made feel important and loved. He and
Connie's singing was so special. He will be missed.Truly a dear pastor,friend.

Being happy and sad at the same time, seems so weird. We'll see you soon, Brother.

Bob will be greatly missed. Thank the Lord, he is now at rest with Jesus. And looking forward to the day we will join him.                    Bob was a great encouragement to us. He and Connie have been our family for several years. It was very good to hear Bob when he would teach the Word Of God. Love and Prayer to you (Connie)and family.

   I am sorry to have learned too late to attend Bob's visitation.  I have many found memories of Bob.  I last saw him at my Aunt Ruby's funeral and we talked about some of those past times.  He taught me how to play Chess and to bobber fish.  Bob was a great guy.  My sadness is replaced only with the relief of knowing he is in the presence of God, whom he loved and projected in his interaction with others.  May God bless you Connie and your family. Connie, you have my condolences. He was a well respected man. He will be missed by many. He is in a far better place now, and we will meet him again some fine day. Connie your family has always held a soft spot in my heart. Bob had a beautiful singing voice and he is singing with the angels now.

My earliest memory of Bob is sitting in that big ol' lounge chair in his living room across the street from Faith Tabernacle.  He was a very contented man due largely to his Faith in our Creator and Lord.  But I believe that Connie also played a large part in that contentment.  You see, it was through Connie, I had the privilege to meet and eventually come to know Brother Bob.   I spent a few weekends in their home in East Peoria because I wanted to get to know Connie better and sit under her teaching.  I didn't know that Bob was part of the package.  He loved Jesus and he loved the Word and it showed.  Any little concern I may have had was illuminated by the Word and then resolved or diminished.  

I kept going back because Bob and Connie introduced me to a Preacher named Kevin Callahan.  You see I was 37 years old and never been married and the thought of dating at that age just creeped me out.  But I was smitten and the Rigler's gentle hospitality gave me freedom to pursue a relationship with Kevin.  I was trying so hard to maintain what I thought was proper conduct for a woman my age but Bob and Connie helped me realize that it was ok to act like a teenager.  I may have driven them crazy during those few short visits but they have satisfaction in knowing that 18 years later Kevin and I are still together and still very much smitten with each other.   

Thank you, Brother Bob, for your transparent life of faith and obedience to our Lord.  Thank you for opening up your home to me and my dog Buster.  Thank you for introducing me to Kevin.

I know that the Lord must be enjoying your company but I suspect He's really loving your singing.  Enjoy your new life Bob, and I'll see you at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!! 


Connie, Brother Bob was a real servant of God with a heart to help others. He opened his pulpit to me and helped me get started preaching again. He always had an encouraging word from the Scriptures for me. Bob and you introduced me to my wife; the best thing that ever happened to me. His wisdom of the Word and friendship will be greatly missed.

Since moving to Kansas, I miss playing church league dartball with guys like Bobby. He was always helpful to rookies like me even though I was on a competitive team. But to Bob, we were all playing for the same thing, fun and fellowship. May God grant him fellowship in heaven.

I am sadden by our loss, for the world is truely missing another great person. I am ashamed if I haven't told you enough what a difference you've made in my life. You were the first Jesus I seen. You showed me, by your actions, what it means to be a Christian. I thank you and Connie for showing me that Christian love. It sparked in me a hunger to seek the Truth. I thank God he brought you two into my life. I love you. My friend My Brother.

   Bob, you have reached the day we Christians prepare for. The day we meet Jesus! I know that you are in Heaven running the golden streets and rejoycing with Charles, Reva, Grandma Dessi, Danny and your brother Kenny! Bob, you will be missed by all that knew you. Hello Brother Bob (aka grandpa) I wanted to let you know I miss you very much, but I know you are walking the streets of gold. I will never forget when I first met you. I thought you were the most wonderful person. You didn't know who I was or anything about me, but you still loved me. I was so surprised to hear you have gone Home to see Jesus. I miss you so much, but I know you are healed. I will see you soon in heaven. Until then, I will miss you and think of you everyday. I love you Brother Bob.
