

Born March 6, 1975 in Jacksonville to Richard Warren, II and Janell Ann (Hodge) Brennan, he married Cynthia Joy Shurtleff on June 5, 2003 in Maui, Hawaii.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia; two daughters, Riley Joy Brennan and Raegan Joy Brennan, both at home; his mother, Janell Meyer of Delavan; two sisters, Monica Brennan of Peoria and Richell (Jared) Smith of Groveland; two nephews, Brennan Smith and Joel Smith; his grandmothers, Shirley Black and Mary Lee Brennan, both of Jacksonville; and several cousins including Dewey Osborn and Kerris Osborn, who were like siblings to him.
His father preceded him in death.
Rich was an entrepreneur, last owning and operating The Yoga Projekt.
Rich loved experiencing life with his daughters and teaching them life skills, including how to build a really cool campfire. He was known for his great sense of humor and enjoyed the outdoors, working out, and playing the guitar. He played baseball during high school and has held the record for most home runs in a single season at Jacksonville High School since 1993. He also played college baseball at Ball State University.
A service celebrating Rich’s life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory, 500 North 4th Street in Pekin. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brennan Memorial Fund for his daughters at Princeville State Bank, 4924 West American Prairie Drive, Peoria, IL 61615.
