Richard J Haynes

He was born August 31, 1946 in Bloomington to George and Wanda (Schultz) Haynes, he married Jenetta Curtright on August 21, 1970 at Normandale Reformed Church in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Curt (Cathy) Moffitt of Springfield and Chad Haynes of Pekin; one daughter, Carey (Mike) Carr of Bellevue; four grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Curt Haynes, Aaron and Annaleigh Moffitt; two great-grandchildren, June Elise and Jason Haynes and two sisters, Alice Juhl of Pekin and Dorothy Hendrick of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Delbert and Tony Haynes.

Richard worked as a Truck Driver for over 40 years with several companies.

He enjoyed fishing and playing basketball and other sports with his grandchildren. Richard was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He also spent time as a Sunday School Leader.

His memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Dan Berkel will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
