

He was born July 11, 1944 in Pekin to Ernest Ervin and Bertie Irene (DeWeese) Hoyle. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Hoyle; one sister, Carol Morrow; one niece; and two nephews.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank (Norma) Hoyle of Pekin and Jim (Tracey) Hoyle of Manito; three sisters, Judy Spencer of Pekin, Becky (Steve) Newcomb of Pekin and Wendy (Donnie) Barbour of Pekin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Richard had worked at KMI Packaging and Exporting as a warehouseman for four years. He then worked for over twelve years for Corn Products Co., last working there in 1981. Since 1981, he worked as a mechanic for Hoyle Transportation in Pekin, retiring in 2010.
He loved his Western movies and enjoyed watching Texas Hold 'Em tournaments on television. He cherished time spent with his family.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Eugene Hooker will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
