
ORANGE CITY, FLORIDA ~ Richard Glenn Jenks, Sr., 79, of Orange City, Florida, previously of Creve Coeur, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at AdventHealth Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City, Florida.
Born March 20, 1947 in Peoria to Wilbur Glenn and Mary Louise (Kinert) Jenks, he married Joyce A. Champion on June 15, 1986 in Champaign. She passed away on February 20, 2014. He later married Fannie M. Reeder on September 27, 2019. She survives.
Also surviving are six children, Robyn Renee Marden of Deland, Florida, William (Chrisie) Rincker of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, Angie West of Rantoul, Illinois, Deanna (Rob) Gillis of Olney, Illinois, Nicole (Jimmy) Howard of Hudsonville, Michigan and Robyn (Frank) Fosco of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Larry (Sandy) Jenks of East Peoria, Illinois and Nancy (Richard) Ihnken, both of East Peoria, Sheila (Denny) Schertz of Washington, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; sister, Mary Jo Trobaugh; and two sons, Richard Glenn Jenks, Jr. and Robert Shawn Jenks, in infancy.
Richard worked in sales for 23 years at PMP Fermentation Products, Inc. in Peoria, Illinois, retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hanging out with his wife Fannie (Tess).
Richard honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1972.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Inurnment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida at a later date. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
