He was born October 2, 1970 in Peoria to Richard Alan and Dory Jo (Heaton) Reese.
Surviving are one daughter, Ashley Reese Phelps of Pekin; his father, Rick Reese of Pekin; his mother and step-father, Dory and Dennis Crawford of Englewood, Florida; grandmother, Joann Devore of Mackinaw; and girlfriend, Kayleigh Lindsey of Morton.
He was a 1989 graduate of Dee-Mack High School in Mackinaw.
Rick had worked at Buddies Restaurant and Bar in Deer Creek. Previously, he was in the catering business. He was known for being a great cook. He also enjoyed traveling.
There will be a gathering celebrating Rick’s life at Buddies Restaurant and Bar, 123 East 1st Avenue in Deer Creek at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
