Richard Earl Spencer

He was born on May 8, 1939, in Tallula to Wilmer L. and Dorothy L. (Moore) Spencer; they preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley McFarland; grandson, Ryan Spencer; and two brothers, Steven and George Spencer.

Richard is survived by his three children, Rhonda Morrison of Pekin, Angela (Mike) McCubbins and Steven (Kristine) Spencer both of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Joyce (Conrad) Yates of Sarasota, FL and Carolyn Marshall of Green River, WY.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army following high school, serving in Okinawa as a Morse Code Operator. Richard worked for many years as a self-employed welder.

Cremation Rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
