He was born February 22, 1951 in Peoria to William D. and Martha E. "Betty" (Eaton) Harmon. He married Phyllis Beechler on May 3, 1991 in Groveland. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Shannon (Tommy) Bates of Paris, Tennessee; one son, Todd Harmon of Jackson, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Tina (Affif) Leonor of Lisle; one step-son, Jim Rinehart of East Peoria; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Sheila (Fred) Carroll of Peoria Heights; and one nephew, Dane Carroll of Peoria.
Bob retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after many years of service.
Private graveside services will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. There will be no visitation. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur is assisting the family with arrangements.
