Born December 4, 1942 in Pekin to Austin Wayne and Pearl H. Howard Dobson, he married Sandra Jean Goff on February 1, 1964 in Lewistown.
Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Greg Dobson and Rick (Holli) Dobson, both of Marquette Heights; 1 daughter, Cindy (Mark) Weyhrich of Green Valley; 4 grandchildren; and 1 brother, Austin "Spud" (Pat) Dobson of Marquette Heights.
Bob was an Allstate Insurance Agent in East Peoria for 35 years, retiring in 2001.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the 1960's.
He had coached Little League baseball in Marquette Heights and at the Pekin Union Mission. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
