He was born October 12, 1943 in Jacksonville to Charles Wesley and Eva Louise (Lash) Flynn. He was preceded him in death by his parents and two infant sisters, Margaret Louise Flynn and Carolyn June Flynn.
Surviving are one brother, Charles W. (Evelyn) Flynn of Pekin; two sisters, Norma M. (Larry) Watson of Pekin and Patricia A. (James) O'Brien of Bartonville and many nieces and nephews.
He had worked for Allied Mills in Bartonville, Herschel's in Peoria until they went out of the business and then for Sherex in Mapleton as a security guard. Bob was the proudest to have been a bell ringer for the Salvation Army in Pekin for more than 20 years.
His graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2007at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Salvation Army Captains Peter and Catherine Mount will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
