Mark, Vicki and Family,
I send my sympathy to each of you. I hope you will be able to reflect on his wonderful life and the rich legacy he is leaving. 
I am confident you will all see him again at his home in heaven. 

My uncle and I had a very special relationship.  I was so blessed to have known and loved him for over 64 years.  He oftentimes would do very special things for me.  When I was 14, he took me on the family vacation along with Aunt Sissy, Vicki and Mark.  We traveled to California in a Chevy Impala.  Back in those days, cars weren't air conditioned.  We traveled through the desert at night.  Vicki was 13 and Mark was 12 and he had a broken arm.  The itching about drove him crazy.  We visited Uncle Maurice and his family and also Aunt Pauline, his sister, and Uncle Ronnie, his brother.  We had so much fun with all our California cousins.  They took us to Disneyland and to Knotts Berry Farm, Pacific Ocean Park, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and outside the Navaho reservations.  When we lost Aunt Sissy in 1988, he pulled me aside after her funeral and told me "you're riding in the limo with the family".  He always made sure I was part of their family.  I have thousands of wonderful stories and memories.  He traveled to Florida and South Carolina to visit me when I left Illinois.  I actually lived in their home a few times, as a baby, in the second grade after a house fire and for awhile when my ex husband was in the Army.  He was always there for me.  He was an extraordinary human being.  In all those years, I never saw him without his pleasant, loving and caring personality.  He was the best father figure ever!  I will never forget his kindness to me and I will never forget him ever.  A very sad day for all of us but without a doubt, he's in heaven now. Your parents are the ones you first learn from, the ones that take your hand and lead you through the early years of life. As you grow older, you may grow apart, but you know they are always there for you. When they are gone, you wonder, who will I count on now. Know they are in your heart and are still holding your hand and guiding you.

God bless the entire family in this time of sorrow at the loss of father, husband, grandfather, greatgrandfather, uncle and friend.  My heartfelt good wishes and prayers with you.

I am so sorry to hear and read about your Dad. It brings back so many good memories of the 70's and 80's with your folks, Herman, Maurine (Mo) and both the families. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time in your lives.

I remember Mr. Huls' 57 chevy and the warmth that he and Mrs. Marian Huls always had in their home for anyone who entered in.  Vicki and I were friends and Mark was the little brother - but never a brat....much!  They gave me so many wonderful memories of their home and their love and the family life that they enjoyed and shared with others.  I was never blessed to meet his second wife but I would imagine he would have found another loving caring woman to share his life with.  He will always be remembered with love.

Carolyn, Vicki & family, Mark & family and extended family: Sorry Bob has left you, but it was time he went home, so no more suffering for him. No matter how well we feel we are prepared, we aren't. He is in a better place,as I know each of you know that he is.You will meet up with Bob one day. Bob had a great smile, I am sure he is smiling on each of you !
