Roger K. Buckley

Roger K. Buckley, 72, of Manito, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Pekin Hospital in Pekin, Illinois. He was born on November 27, 1942 in Peoria, Illinois to Harry and Veoria (Bentson) Buckley. He married Wanda Neavear on September 3, 1965 in Pekin, Illinois. She survives.

Two daughters also survive, Tina (Paul) Cargill of Pekin, Illinois and Trina Buckley of Manito, Illinois; two grandsons, Derek McDonald and Corbin Seitz; one brother Terry (Sharon) Buckley of Ocala, Florida; and his father-in-law Melvin Taylor of Pekin, Illinois. He was preceded in death by five brothers, and his mother-in-law, Marjorie Taylor.

Roger worked over 39 years as a fireman at Keystone Steel and Wire Company where retired in 2012. He was a six year veteran of the Air Force, serving in Viet Nam.

A memorial visitation celebrating Roger’s life will be Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with military honors at 7:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded.
