

Born May 8, 1955 in Havana to Harold and Helen (Clark) Green, he married Susan E. Fox on January 28, 2005 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are four children, Rachel (Jeffrey) Cross of Easton, Renee (Anthony) Gaston of Decatur, Roger (Katelyn) Green, Jr. of Mason City and Andrea (Jason) Powless of Salem; two step daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Salvers of Stronghurst and Nicole Lashbrook of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Beth Green of Easton and one brother, Kevin (Priscilla) Green of Easton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Schappaugh and Kathy Gilmore.
Roger worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville and Mapleton for 39 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 974 in East Peoria. He also drove a truck for Hull Trucking in Mason City and Albert Horn Trucking in Oakford.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 in Pekin and was a Golden Eagle.
Roger enjoyed riding his Harley and collecting tools. He also loved shopping around and trading trucks. He was always looking for the next best thing.
His visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A celebration of Rogers’s life will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 274 Derby Street in Pekin.
