He was born February 17, 1963 in Peoria to John Roger “Bud” and Judy (Tucker) Heitzman. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his mother, Judy of Mapleton; one son, Jonathon Heitzman of Mount Holly, North Carolina; one stepson, Jimmy Davies of Bellevue and one brother, Brian (Michelle) Heitzman of Glasford.
Roger worked at Liberty Steel & Wire Co., formerly Keystone in Bartonville.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing in general, especially dirt track and NASCAR.
A gathering celebrating Roger’s life will be held at a later date.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
