Roland A Brackney

Born December 10, 1957 in Pekin to James M. and Alice Katherine (Cohenour) Brackney, he married Pamela K. Williams on June 15, 1995 in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of South Pekin; three daughters, Jie Brackney of Pekin, Andrea Turnquist of Morton, and Stephanie Turnquist of Tualatin, Oregon; one son, Kraig (Stacey) Beeney of Illinois; ten grandchildren; one brother, John Brackney of South Pekin; and two sisters, Sue Brackney and Rhonda (Mark) Kester, both of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his father on November 28, 1998 in Pekin and one brother.

Roland worked construction for over 30 years, last working for Accent Homes in Creve Coeur.

He attended Grace Church in Morton.

Roland enjoyed motorcycles, country music, and fishing. He was a Dale Earnhardt fan and a hat collector.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Doug Habegger will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
